Receive a freight delivery

Large equipment may arrive by less-than-truckload (LTL) freight on a pallet or in a crate.

Before the truck arrives

  • Keep the delivery phone available for scheduling.
  • Confirm that a large truck can safely reach the stated handoff point.
  • Arrange help for movement beyond curbside unless an upgraded service is documented.
  • Have the order and inspection supplies ready.

At delivery

  1. Match the recipient and shipment count to the delivery paperwork.
  2. Inspect every face of the pallet, crate, and cartons before signing.
  3. Photograph the load, labels, wrapping, punctures, crushing, water exposure, and broken bands.
  4. Write specific visible damage or shortages on the delivery receipt before signing.
  5. Keep a copy or photograph of the signed receipt.
  6. Move the shipment only when it can be done safely and within the purchased service.

The standard shipping policy describes curbside as the curb or end of driveway; the customer is responsible for movement beyond that point. Threshold and white-glove scope applies only when offered and purchased.
