Preventive maintenance supports safe operation and creates a useful record for service and warranty review.
De-energize before service
Follow the OEM shutdown and isolation procedure. Stop before opening guards, exposing electrical or moving parts, or performing work reserved for trained technicians.
Build the schedule
- Find the exact model manual and warranty requirements.
- List OEM tasks and frequencies; operating environment may require more frequent inspection.
- Assign a responsible person and a safe out-of-service method.
- Record date, equipment ID, condition, work performed, parts, and next due date.
- Review records after faults, moves, heavy use, or manufacturer updates.

OEM instructions always take precedence. Never generalize lubricant, chemical, torque, firmware, disassembly, or electrical procedures across models.
