Inspect your shipment
Create a clear record before assembly so shipping damage and shortages can be handled correctly.
- Photograph the unopened shipment from all sides and capture shipping labels.
- Compare the carton or pallet count with the delivery receipt and packing information.
- Record visible damage on the freight receipt before signing.
- In a safe staging area, open packaging carefully and retain it.
- Compare components, hardware, manuals, and accessories with the packing list.
- Photograph each damaged or missing area and the surrounding packaging.
- Do not assemble, energize, repair, or discard a damaged component before support responds.
Danger
Stop handling equipment if the load is unstable, leaking, electrically damaged, or too heavy to control. Isolate the area and use trained material-handling help.
If anything is damaged or missing, report it promptly. If the shipment is complete and intact, proceed to assembly.
