Inspect your shipment

Create a clear record before assembly so shipping damage and shortages can be handled correctly.

  1. Photograph the unopened shipment from all sides and capture shipping labels.
  2. Compare the carton or pallet count with the delivery receipt and packing information.
  3. Record visible damage on the freight receipt before signing.
  4. In a safe staging area, open packaging carefully and retain it.
  5. Compare components, hardware, manuals, and accessories with the packing list.
  6. Photograph each damaged or missing area and the surrounding packaging.
  7. Do not assemble, energize, repair, or discard a damaged component before support responds.

Danger

Stop handling equipment if the load is unstable, leaking, electrically damaged, or too heavy to control. Isolate the area and use trained material-handling help.

If anything is damaged or missing, report it promptly. If the shipment is complete and intact, proceed to assembly.
